Poor thing, shes going to live in Hawaii! Wish she would take me with her, she was a good woman.

I can't belieive you sold Chickie on eBay!

does it cost extra to list your wife?

you know machinists and metal objects......
I bet Chuck has fondled her as much as he has Chickie....

the wormhole ought to save that guy a ton on shipping.....

now who is going to turn my brake rotors?

and you sold it to buy a hotrod right?
a hotrod with horsepower? or people power?

Nice small lathe Chuck. Nice size for the garage. I am hoping I can pick one up here in a few days. I am going to an auction where they have a couple of LeBlonde lathes and some Bridgeport mills. I'm really hoping to latch onto a mill though, as I can do more with that.

Funny you should mention it, the bike is already pimped out. Basically there isn't an old part on the bike...except for the seat clamp. Parts list include Surly rigid fork, Truvativ cranks, Avid disc front and Single digit 7 vees for the rear, Mavic 117 rims with all Shimano LX 9 speed transmission, XTR chain, FSA 105mm X 0 degree stem, Deore shifter pods and Avid levers. I shaved 5 pds from the bike, it now weighs 26 pds even. Not super light weight but then I'm no lightweight either, I tacoed my front rim at Assiniboine park in the bowl earlier this summer so I upgraded the whole bike in one shot. Only the new stem is missing in this shot.

Haha, and this is my winter bike!

LeBlondes are very nice but you have to give some credit to the LeBrounet and the LeRedhead, they are hot items around these parts.

The LeBlondes are a pretty simple lathe though and will do mainly what you need them to do. The LeBrounet lathe is probably the most complex of the three lathes. If you treat it right you can get some excellent parts off of it. But the adjustments are somewhat difficult to master. It's kind of like the LeBrounet lathe actually has a mind of it's own. And the LeRedhead lathe will fight you all the way. You crank a wrong handle on it and you are in for the fight of your life!!!!

Well, sorry to dissappoint but I am still here!! LOL. I'd like to think I'm worth more than 2 grand U.S. but thanks to all you rodders out there who said they'd bid on this old LeBrounet!! LMAO.

Very astute analysis BTW Kevin.
