You have the truck of my dreams! I bought my 48 Chevy pickup in '73 when I was 15. I promptly chopped the top. It had a hot 235 with a home made intake with a 55 Chevy Rochester four barrel on top of it, and headers. A 55 pass car rear end with 3:90s. It has gone thru a few transformations including a mid engine Buick 401 with the carb between the seats!

It is now in a million pieces but is my next project and should be to it by the end of this summer.

It's now chopped and sectioned and I have a 235 with the Corvette side draft YH set up for it. I am thrilled to get that inline six back in there, plan on running a vintage 3 speed. My plan is nothing will be newer than 1955 or so on the truck.

Post some photos of your truck, I'd love to see it.

Brian

Edit: DUH, I just saw the photos, very nice! I love the "twice pipes" out the back. When I was a kid it had them "Jag style" right next to one another. It had glass packs right up at the trans (Munci 4 speed) and would rap like a bad dog, I had a lot of fun with that truck.
