Old Magazines

Has anyone had any luck selling old hot rod magazines on ebay, or elsewhere? If so, what's the best way to sell them, individually, in lots, etc. I've got them dating back to 1973.

old rod mags dont start being old to me before 1960. They do sell up to 73 because of the muscle cars but to get more than a buck apiece you will be lucky.I used to sell them at auto flea markets around Ont. but as I dont like cars built after 1960 and the only mags Im lookin for now are 48-50 hot rod my search is getting small and to expensive.

The cool thing about ebay is it is so cheap to try things out. Just put a few on and see what happens. I would think in lots of a year would be the way to go if they are not "special" mags.

My brother has sold a ton of things like Harley "Enthusiast" mags one at a time for a LOT of bucks. But as for "normal" mags, they don't bring much.

Anyone remember Autobuff magazine from the early eighties? I bought almost the whole collection because my folks didn't realize the girls were topless. Anyone know if they are worth anything?

old magazines

I see a lot of individual car adds from magazines on ebay. I have thought about doing this with some of my old mags but just haven't had the time. If you look at the past sales of these people offering the adds they do seem to sell. At $2 to $6 a piece and more this should be pretty profitable.

Has anyone here tried selling individual adds?

Rick

They get a few bucks for Autobuff...http://search.ebay.com/search/search...uff&category0=

Just do a search on eBay for anything you want to find the value on. It can usually be found on ebay!

I have a buddy who picked up a few vintage Victoria Secret Catalogs from when they were a little mom and pop company here in the SF bay area. He put them on ebay and got fifty or sixty bucks apiece as I remember. He had guys emailing him asking if certain models were in them!

I love eBay. One day when I had sold a bunch of junk for hundreds of dollars that I would have sold at swap meets in a "dollar box" I said to my wife "I think I have found a way to publish my address so people can send me money".

I have also made others money by buying things that would have taken YEARS or maybe NEVER to be found.

Thanks for everyone's inputs! I think I'll go ahead and group them into a package deal somehow and then see if I get any hits on ebay during my next work break.
