Old New Guy on Forum
I guess this is where I'm supposed to introduce myself, if I'm wrong, chalk it up to being an old fart, that can't follow directions.

Been playing with cars since the early 60's, and still doing it in my 60's. Presently have a 68 Roadrunner clone, and a gasp Streetbeast 41 Willys. Bought the 41 before I had fully checked out the supplier. You make mistakes sometimes, and deal with them as you can.

I'm a retired Police Officer and since I'm still too young to be fully retired, and want more marble money for the toys, I now work selling firearms. Not a big stretch in job choices

I'll be scouring the Streetbeast forum for ideas and answers to the questions I know I'll have. Probably won't post a whole lot, as the only option I have is a Dial-up connection, and think I got through puberty faster than this machine downloads pictures and such.

Anyhow, that's about it for the introduction. looking forward finding the answers I'll need and getting new ideas for my build.

I've checked them and a couple others. I live out in the boonies, and satellite dishes are about my only choice. Already have two of them in the yard, and Momma doen't really want another one. Hopefully cable or high speed phone lines will eventually make their way out here.

Welcome aboard. A wireless IPAD may provide you with exactly what you need. I love my IPAD. It is always on, works anywhere, is light and portable, and makes a great ready to use camera.

I thought about that, when they came out. Problem is, we live in the boonies of very Southern Ohio, in the rolling foothills of the Appalachians. Whenever one of our friends gets a new toy, when they come out to visit, the first thing we check is whether or not it works here. So far, there has been no reliable product or server. Down here, line of sight is about 100 yds in any direction, before there is a hill blocking your view. Add to that a shortage of towers. When we moved here, we had planned on cellphones only, didn't take long to realize that wasn't gonna work. Sooner or later, they will either put a tower in the right place, or a product will come along, and we'll be able to go wireless.
