old skool meets nu skool

Hey I have a question I am into Hot rods but I own a 2002 Ford F150 .I was thinking of giving it a flat black paint job and lowering it , also maybe adding some white wall tires. Does anyone have any other ideas with what i could add or lose ? I appreciate the help .

I'm probably going to sound like a Dad on this one, old skool on this truck will just make it look like a beater. Keep it clean, take care of it, keep the re-sale up, look for a toy to work on. Dan

I don't know Dan. If done correctly it could be really nice. inkskate I would think some Iron cross rear view mirrors,Covered bed, suicide doors.Have fun and above all be safe. Brian

I'm with Dan on that one, I don't think you will get anything but funny looks if you try to "old school" that truck.. It's just too new. The lowering part, yes, the flat black and whitewalls(ugh) ...no.

Later, mikey

Thanks to both of you for your reply's. I am going to do it and I will take it slow , if it starts to look beat up then I will stop and give it a good paint job. ;) Thanks again.

If you lower it, don't make the mistake of cutting the bed to clear the suspension. You'll have a hard time selling it if you do.

Thanks strummin ! :pimp:

Why don't you do a rendering or photochop it and see what it'll look like before you do anything?
