OLD SLOT CARS FROM THE 60's&70's BOXS AND BOXS

I don't know much about this subject but I was cleaning out one of our old houses and I found 8 boxs of Old slot car stuff. Bodies, engines, rebuild, frames you name it I have it. These slots range from about 6-10 inches, I have a few vw bug bodies, a few 67 gto bodies, some bat mobile bodies..I found all kinds of neat stuff including the controlers. If anyone know of someone who buys this stuff or would know anything about them please reply or pm me..

thanks
Michael

6"-10" long would be the 1:32 or 1:24 scale. These are now becoming popular again. Do a search on EBay for slot cars and it will give you an idea as to their worth. A buddy of mine picked up a huge (and I mean HUGE) track from a business that every weekend kids took their cars and went to race. If you decide to sell it check out everything you have and you will have to decide to either sell seperately or all together.

We had a set of those when I was a kid. It was modeled after a test course in Detroit I think. Had the brick wall, the bridge that was really a jump, the bumpy track, the wavy track etc.....I can't remember what the set was called but they were slot cars with several different body styles and interchangable engines. The track had about 10 different layouts you could choose from. It was the coolest toy we had when I was a kid and I think we got it second hand, so it was pretty old already when we got it. My kids were playing with it up until a couple of months ago, when the track started to disintegrate. C'est la vie. Hit the dumpster. Too bad, it was a great set.
If you're interested in selling any of yours PM me and we can talk.

Chickie.

yeah i got the bug back in the 60's and then there was a track in las vegas the year i lived there 1981-2 so i got back into it. then i came back to reno and a friend opened up a track only a block away from the first one in the 60's and i got back into it with some real nice cars. damn they were fast from the factory. i didnt have to rewind any engines, in fact , i never re wound any. but some guys were into the dragsters, running them head on into big pieces of foam. it was great to have all 8 lanes used with a couple of kids running around fixing your wrecks! the track was about 75 feet long or so with overpasses and loops and hair pins. i would do it again right now, i still have two cars and a controller. course now they are 20 years old and just like everything else, wont keep up with newer ones. but... maybe there arent any new ones. there must be a slot car track out there somewhere. i would love to buy one and set it up here at my work around the shop. i hear they are expensive as hell to buy new, but off ebay that would be cool.

i would be interested in buying your GTO for some reason.

Cool topic.. LOL .. I've been doing Slot Car Drag Racing off and on for a couple of years and It's a blast.. The big thing in Drag Slots is building a Plastic Model and fitting it to a slot car chassis.

NEW WORLD RECORD AA/FC:
