Welcome

If you'll stick with the Chevy of the mid to late 50s I think you'll find that parts are pretty available these days. You can find them online at different Forums also. Google Eckler's Classic Chevy Trucks to see just a little of what's out there.

I have a '56 GMC that I'm working on and there are several Forums that have been very helpful to me.

We also have a Fifties Truck Thread here that stays pretty busy so check it out.
55 to 59 chevy truck owners

The 53-56 Ford F100 is the popular older classic truck. There are so many aftermarket parts placed that in fact you can actually build a 56 Ford truck by purchasing the parts, frame, engine, body, etc. I think it would be easier find one of those trucks than a older Chevy.

Good Ford data there also - - - - - I know nothing about the Fords but I do know that, if they don't sell that '67 F-100 short bed Fleetside down the road from me real quick, I may end up owning something I don't need or know anything about. hahaha

41 through 46 chevy pickups

there not as popular as the 48 body change an not as spendy, you can change the headlight location if you like. Long as you have the sheet metal you can go any direction
