Oil restrictors should not be necessary unless you spend a lot of time above 3000 RPM. DO NOT put in a high volume oil pump. Olds engines have a problem with sucking too much oil up to the top and not returning very well. A high volume oil pump will only make things worse. There is no reason to not get a larger capacity oil pan with a pickup that goes with the pan. Also be sure that your pickup is set correctly.
