olds buick 231 p/s pump onto an olds v-8?

ive got a low miles p/s pump setup from a 1985 cutlass 231 car i stripped and junked.

will it fit any v-8 engines?

or is it scrap metal?

thanks

The Saginaw pumps with integral reservoir are pretty much interchangeable. You will need to get the Olds brackets, since the V-6 brackets are completely different. The pulley needs to come off to change the front bracket, and you may need to change it for the Olds motor anyway.

ok so brackets are unique to that engine hmm :(

good to keep for the lower mileage pump anyways..

thanks

Actually, the PS brackets on any 1968-1990 RWD Olds V-8 are the same. There are two spacers between the bracket and block that you need as well.
