Olds mini starter users please help me!!!

I am putting a 1974 olds 455 in my 1952 chevy. The stock starter is too long and my steering arm hits the back of it when i turn left. I need a shorter starter but none of the mini starters i have found show dimensions for length. Witdth seems to be the only dimension listed for people having trouble with header clearance. Anyone know who makes the shortest starter for these engines?

Pontiac and Oldsmobile use the same starter. I have a Powermaster and a GPE mini for my Pontiacs and they are both 7-3/4" long, not counting the bendix gear.

Thank you, I'll have to measure but that may work. Im waiting on an email from summit also to find out the length of their pro torqu starters. They loom pretty small in the pictures. My starter is about 8 inches from the center of the mounting holes to the end.
