I recently decided to pass on my 1973 Oldsmobile Omega to my oldest son in Arizona. I told him a few days ago just after he told me he was looking for an old car to restore that he could keep and own as long as I have my Olds. I've had the car 32 years now and it was my only car for most of his childhood. He's worked in custom car shops, dealerships, served overseas and in the Persian Gulf with the US Navy during the Gulf War, and came out a disabled vet. I'm very proud of him and can't wait for the day when he can get away from work and come to pick it up. He is now living in Phoenix and just started a new job with Phoenix College, so he won't be able to get away until July, but I know he's excited and his wife says he hasn't quit grinning since he got the news.
MMMM...have to think about that! And maybe my avatar.

Why not take it to him? Just a thought.
I owned a 74 hatchback. Bought it with a rod hanging out and put a high compression 330 from a 67 cutlass. It was fun.

Boy, I would love to! Their vacation is already planned and funds are short on this end thanks to Florida state homeowners insurance and property tax rate increases. Can't afford to take off right now! It'll wait for him...
