Post Oli Coolers??

There was an article in a recent Goodguys Mag about getting a real cooling effect by installing one of these oil cooler kits. They are easy to install where the oil filter screws into the block. Have any of you had expirence with these coolers??? DAVE E SHANK

I can't say I've had any experience with the perticular brand of oil cooler your speaking of but "oil coolers" in general are an excellent way to reduce engine operating tempature very quickly and efficiently. If you do install one it's a good idea to add a sender and gauge to monitor the oil temp. If the oil tempature goes to low the oil will not work( lubricate) correctly and the motor will sludge. I have a by-pass on the one on my race car so during the cooler months here in Texas( Thank god they came earlier this year)the cooler does not function. Maybe this will help---paulweldit
