Omni coverage question

Going to be painting an F350 crew cab, long bed w/ matching color camper shell. Will be painting entire outside...no jambs and no bed. The color code is JM, sort of a metallic maroon. Not a show truck or anything like that, but I still want it to look good. I plan on using OMNI base and SPI universal clear.

I have heard that OMNI does not cover very well and am wondering if a gallon (2 sprayable gallons when reduced) will be enough for this big of a project.

I have sprayed lots of omni and there Maroons and reds cover really badly

What are you spraying over? Will you have the whole truck in one color of primer or sealer?

I would get a gallon of the paint and then do a spray out car and see how many coats it takes to cover.

Buy a pint and do your coverage test.

Thanks,
will the OMNI metallic maroon base cover better over buff color or gray primer?

Omni does not cover. Took twice the paint to cover as other paints I've used. Will not use again.

I used OMNI red piant and took almost full quart to paint one spoiler. It took 3 or 4 coats
it actually matched pretty good even tho OMNI in known not to match
