Doc here,

Simple..

Assuming you have already installed a one wire Alternator..

Just run the wire from the Alternator to the big bolt on the starter solenoid Via a proper fuse link and / or Maxi fuse , use a 10 gauge wire.

As for the EXTERNAL Regulator, just Disconnect it, Be sure any wires on the BATT terminal Remain connected together, (they will power other parts of the car..) and insulate, mark, cap and tie them off..You may also have to pull the Charge lamp out of the socket.

do i need to jump any wires from the alt. batt post to the #2 terminal on the alt.

let me get this right, from the batt to the starter and from the alt batt post to the starter, disconnect ext reg and tie all the wires going to the batt on the reg.

Doc here,

I thought you said this was a "one Wire " Alternator??

If not you have a 3 wire internally regulated alternator ..a horse of a different color. Yes jumper that wire over...

The rest is correct EXCEPT DO NOT forget a fuse link or Maxi fuse on the batt wire..or you may be sorry later on..
