Hey everyone,
Ive been thinking about a new project to start on and wanted yalls imput on it... well im wanting to run a lethal 454 matched up to a turbo 400 with a shift kit and along with that a 12 bolt in the rear with 411 gears...what kinda power and torque you think this would have...its all going into an 85 camaro with ttops ,,also ill be running subframe connectors along with traction bars. And possibly a 150 nitrous shot..its gonna be a carb motor and most every thing else is gonna be supplied by edelbrock cause im a large fan of their products lol thanks any opinions appreciated,

a question i have about it tho what would be a good charging setup cause other then the motor its also gonna be running a big system. I was reading the other day in lowrider about a dual battery setup but my problems with that are weight on the front and what kinda springs i would need to run? what do you think would be best?

Forget the "big system" and throw all of that money at makin the car hook and run...

yea thats true to..i think ill just upgrade the speakers and put a cd player in it.You think a stock altenator would supply enough juice for the motor?

I would still upgrade the alternator. A 100 amp unit should do fine as long as you don't overload it. The motor doesn't care as long as it supplies enough juice for the ignition, electric fan, electric fuel pump, and other accessories and to keep the battery charged.

Need more info - lethal is not very specific....... Cam specs, compression ratio, head design/chamber size, intake, exhaughst, ignition, ect., are needed to begin calculating this kind of stuff.

Not sure as to specific information yet.i havent really thought that much into it yet.itll most likely be stock for the most part with the addition of some edelbrock peices and a comp cam..im not looking forit to be downright insane seeing that it will be driven as a daily after im finished with it...as for the exaust hooker headers of some sort and all that running into summits glasspack sidepipes. im also gonna add an air gap intake along with an edelbrock four barrel with manuel choke. im thinking a 650.in my mind a 454 aint gonna need to much to smoke the tires on a light car like my camaro.Thats the best i can do for right now

Dont forget by the time you get the 454 and turbo 400 in your car its no longer light. aim for at least 400hp to make it move quick!
