Opinions on changing seperator plate

Was doing some reading and have seen the suggestion to always replace the seperator plate on the 700 when rebuilding. My VB is not on yet....is it a good idea to replace it or no? Trans is bagged up for now until work slows down and I have time to finish so i'm not in a big hurry.

Thanks.
Mark

Unless the plate is beat to death at the check ball locations or the accumulator location, reuse. Do it every day.....

Thanks. I'll ck it when I have it out of the store room again. Actually, I found out tonight that I may have access to a trans dyno. My daughter in laws dad works for UTI and they have both engine and trans dynos there. Could be fun! and save some time if I did something wrong! LOL

additionally the is the possiblity of mis matching the plate to the v-body when changed.

A few things to watch out for.

FiTZ All manufactures repair inserts for worn out check ball areas on these plates......
