Opinions on NSRA Nats vs NSRA Virginia

Did anyone go the the NSRA in VA last year? I was kind of excited about it, but then I saw where that particular show is open up to 1978 vehicles where most of the other NSRA shows are 1948. Were there a lot of newer cars at the VA show? I kind of really want to go to a show with just older rods in it.
The show in KY is about 850 miles vs about 500 miles to the show in VA so that one is a lot closer that's why I'm contemplating it.
Thanks

NSRA Nats in Louisville = 12,000 pre-1949 Street Rods. What more could you possibly ask for? Definitely worth the extra few miles.

I went to Va last year there were lots of newer model cars about 1400 cars I think. It was ok I guess. Macungie,Richmond and the Rumblers of new york are all on the same weekend Im going to the rumblers this time. Met some of them at a show in Philly this year cool guys and different cars , no cookie cutters with them yet. Also lots to do in NYC before and after the show. Jusst my .02

I vote on the Rumblers! You are more prone to have a real blast in NYC over VA and a bunch of chromed chainer cars! Ol Skool Rules!

Spoken like someone who's never been to Louisville.
