orange peel, long sorry!!

I know peel has been covered many times, and I am sorry for bringing it up again, but I am not sure what to do about my specific challenge. Long story short is, I laid the clear on the flat areas like the hood and roof just fine ( or at least good enough for me !!), but i peeled the vertical surfaces. I also had a couple "flow indicators" in the vertical surfaces. I am guessing air pressure too low? It's a pick up and I still have the bed to clear, using water- base base coat, not under any time constraints, and I don't want to make the same mistake. The peel is not real bad, I am sure it will cut and buff, but I must be doing something different on the vertical surfaces? Any help or suggestions are appreciated, thank you Jcar

are u useing a hvlp gun? if so spray the window (thats taped up) first to make sure your spraying an even fan. turn the amount of paint that is coming out of the gun down and give a longer flash time between coats ( i usally smoke a cig between coats and get back after it ) 12-15 psi at the gun with hvlp about 25-30 with a cup gun. then adjust it by ear with the regular on your gun till it sounds right
