I was refering to Oregon hot rodders running the Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro tires on their rods, the tread is much more condusive to wet conditions. Its a happy medium between wrinkle wall drag tire, and some sense of tread in wet conditions.

My previous tires were MT Sportsmans, and they didn't hook up in wet or dry conditions. I could smoke them forever if I wanted to keep my foot in the throttle, and 1st-2nd shifts were scarey! The short wheelbase Austin would jump sideways on a 1-2 shift, and get completely out of control.
I still have them on my '71 Camaro, but the longer wheelbase makes it more driveable under power, but they still don't hook up.

I had a friend with an Anglia and MT Sportsmans, SCARY!!

If someone had some organizational skills it would sure be cool to get some informal cruise-ins together this winter.

Baker City here. It is not very wet on this side of the mountains. People always say how wet Oregon is but not all of it is.

Baker City is a beautiful area! Love the combination of mountains and desert! Plus the dry climate!
