original 1936 ford gas tank fitting

boy i'm in a dilemma. i tested my complete gas line and all fittings before installing my body the only thing i didn't check was the tack because i had had it refurbished. i installed the body and many components now and when i put gas in the tank ive got a leak!! ever so slight, but a leak non the less. it's leaking where i installed the line out of the tank. i used a normal line that treaded right into the tank fem fitting, but i'm told that it might be a special tread thats causing me problem.

does anyone know what the correct fitting is supposed to look like?

helllppppp

Kind of hard to find original tin anymore. Hope th sites help. Let us know and pass the word. I am sure there are some others here working on some restorations projects like yours.
Another place is www.hemmings.com or their publication. There are some places to call about parts for your truck.

Here are some listings:
www.autokrafters.com
www.fordoldpart.com

NOS 32-48, send SASE for list b part number
Jim Schild, 5 Rowan Oak Ln, Columbia Il 62236
