Is your problem what to do with the speedo cable?
Is this the part your looking for?
It will accept a speedo cable and fits an AOD

Look in the AOD section then go to the mustang retrofit section.
I think its like 40 bucks.

If you have a U Pull it salvage yard nearby, you may find one from an early 80 full size ford or Pickup that will be the same as the photo.
If they still have anything that old laying around.
It should be a bunch cheaper, but you have to go out there, look around , find a possible car etc.
Then you still may need to order a different gear to make the speedo read correctly.
What gear ratio is the rear and what is the tire diameter?
