OTC Monitor 4000E
I have a OTC Monitor 4000E complete kit up for auction. 100% will go towards the fund, and the wining purchaser pays for the shipping.
This was donated by a good friend of mine to help with this fund. I am now setting a minimum bid on this one of $300's it comes complete with diagnostic trouble shooting, GM prom ID, and hook up books. All is hardly used, and looks brand new. This one is also capable of diagnosing factory air ride systems. Other brands do not do this. Last edited by carsavvycook : 11-28-2008 at 10:00 PM. Reason: addition |

Correction
I was just asked if this does OBD11. It does not, and appears to be the first edition of the 4000E OTC put out. This one may not do factory air ride systems either.
Therefore, I am going to drop the price back to best offer. |

the way it is right now, it will do the Air Ride on the Ford system, but not OBDII, as it looks to come with the pathfinder 1993 software cartridge and the Asian/ Imports 1993 Cartridge
I have the Pathfinder 1993 Software manual in front of me ( I have a Monitor 2000 with that software cartridge ).. and it will do 1980-1993 GM, 1979-1993 Ford, including suspension control systems and also MECS or Mazda engine Control Systems and perform as a Ford Rotunda Star II scanner.. and 1983-1993 Chrysler engine systems and 1984-1993 Chrysler badged Mitsubishi engine and transmission systems.. the standard GM cable, Ford II or Ford III cable, MECS cable, and Chrysler cable are nessasary for all functions.. The 4000E can do OBDII cars with the correct cables and software. Pathfinder 1995 does have some OBDII software, but a Pathfinder 1999 software cartridge would be best for full functionality, as then, with the correct cables it could use the same smart chips as the Genesys and be fully compatible with todays cars... this stuff is cheap cheap on Ebay. And yes, that is the older 4000E, the newer 1 looks like this |

I have the newer 1 myself, it has the 1996 software and chips. I still use it when I have communication problems with my MT2500.
The 2000 and early 4000E were donated by a retired mechanic friend of mine, with the proceeds to go towards this cause. He is not even a member here, or, on any forum at all. He told me he has a Fluke meter to donate also, but I have not received it yet. |
