OUCH!!!! bad place to be when a blower decides to sneeze
this guy was defiately in the wrong place, at the wrong time,,

Kinda' makes it real easy to see the need for those restraint straps most of the sanctioning bodies decided on, don't it? : :pain:
That was violent! Was that guy OK?
I'm speechless... son of a biscuit eater! :pain:

They have the same vid on streetfire.net. They show it in slow motion. When you see it in slow motion you can see that the drive belt saves his head. Just when its about to relocate his face the belt does not break and it pulls the blower back down.
He is very lucky to have his head. I thought the blow of valve would prevent that from happening.
I was wondering if he was ok,, at the last of the video,, there is a grey haired guy standing with his back to the camera,, hope he was ok,, I bet he don't stand over another one like that,, I trashed a blown motor in my boat,, it didn't take the blower off like that , but scared the crap out of us,, my son that was setting right in front of it with his back to it, it sneezed hard enough to strip 4 head bolts out of the block,, and melted the tips off of 4 plugs,, it leaned out for fuel,, thats what started the problem ,, havn't tore it apart yet,, to see whats left of the bottom end,, probably don't look very good,, cost money to play,, and not know when to quit,,:mwink: Bill

Geez, what causes a supercharger to do that? I was thinking about supercharging an engine in the future (Probably year or two) but it that something that commonly happens?

Ack, bad way to find out the timing is retarded, lol.
That video has been around the net for a while. You can hear the engine was not running right. As far as blower restraints they are not required on all blown engines. The type of fuel you run and the class you run dictates that. Blower restraints do not stop pieces from an explosion they prevent the blower from lifting as a unit. Pop off valves and burst panels don't allow explosions like that happen.
