Oval defrost vent...

Ok i've got a question about defroster vents. it's going to go in a hot rod style interior, with a creamy leather.. and I'm looking for a oval vent that will go in the middle of the dash, something around 7" that would be a billet piece. I don't want a stamped piece, Looking for a classy look. any help would be appreciated.

P.S. were thinking polished.

Polished Aluminum?

Aluminum is a bit easier to work with and making a billet piece that way is doable..either engine turned or polished..Other wise dunno...Might want to Go here and see what those guys do in the way of makeing something like that..

I know since i'm looking for a certain style, I might end up having something made up. but if that's the way it's gotta be. no biggie, it'll just cost the customer a little more but then it would be unique... If this is the case we might as well engrave the name of the truck into the vent that would cool.. add a touch of uniqueness. he says he knows someone that can do laser cutting so that might be another option, and then maybe a little engraving later... hmmm. I like this idea... I need to stop having ideas as the more i think the more expensive things get.

defrost vents

Just a note in case you have not looked at the Phipps oval ac vents. If the advertised ones won't work, maybe you could get them to make what you need. Bill

but like you said... if he could custom make one... that might end up being what it's going to take.
