Overdrive in 700r4

I recently installed a rebuilt 700r4 in my PU. I've adjusted the TV cable and the shifts are at the correct speeds. My question is about the shift into overdrive. When it shifts into overdrive, it seems to shudder and lurch. If I manually downshift to 3rd, it is smooth again. It only does it in overdrive. Any ideas?

Is the trans setup for lockup of the converter in over drive only?

Is the trans a hydraulic lockup for the converter?

Is it setup for electric lockup ?

If it is an electrical lockup , have you tried it with the electric unplugged?

Does this lurch continue at all speeds?

Does the shift to OD seem early (low speed) causing the engine to mis-fire?

Does it feel like the converter clutch is applied as it shifts to OD?

It is setup for lockup that is electric but triggered off of a pressure switch from the external port on the right side of the transmission. It is very smooth until the shift into overdrive. I have not tried it with the system unplugged. It does seem to shift into overdrive early (about 45 mph). I can't tell if the converter clutch is engaged when it shifts. This is my first 700r4. Previous transmission after the standard was a TH400. Thanks for the response.
