while crusing in overdrive and starting uphill the truck appears to hesitate several time before downshifting to a lower gear, all other shifting from a dead stop up to overdrive are smooth.

I have replaced the spark plugs,fuel filter and plan on replacing the wires,since I have 60,000 miles on this 2000 F-150 pickup with a V6 and automatic trans.

Also on a flat surface at speeds of 60 to 70 mph
if I try to pass someone the truck will hesitait,downshift and on accassion will hesitate once again after upshifting to overdrive.

Do I have a clutch problem in the convertor?
