Overhaulin' With Chip Foose

Anybody watch Overhaulin' with Chip Foose on TLC?

They did a '91 Ford Exploder recently and the topic came up on the Bronco forum. We got to talking about Foose being associated with a show that has APC products and in the APC shop.

What do you guys think? Does a designer such as Chip Foose belong on a show that over hauls rides into tricked out wanna be's??

3B, I have been watching it since it came on a few weeks ago and they have been doing some very nice work, I know you are a FORD girl so you may not have like a few of the thing that they have done, A 56 Chevy 4 door that they made into a convert at WYO-tech, a surfers El Camino, a trick 4 X 4, a 50 Ford coupe. Check out the discovery web site and it will have a link to what they have done.

I watched a part of that episode but don't like the format. They really ruin someone's life for a couple of weeks. Too mean spirited for my taste.

I saw one where they did up a chevelle. A 71 to be exact. I thought it was pretty cool. Dropped in an Edelbrock crate motor. It was awesome...

Overhaulin' With Chip Fose

True they do put the owners thru a scare but I think the end result is worth it. Just look at their faces when they get their rides
back. No one seems to be disapointed. PEACE>Tony

I watched it and I think APC sponsored it that is why their signs were hanging all over the place. When it gets right down to it someone has to pay for the vehicle and what better way than that. And with the way my luck with vehicles has been going I wish someone would OverHaul mine. My '62 has been gone a year and is no farther along. My Silverado has been tore apart for 3 months and at the same painter (I know...my fault) for a month now. And I just bashed up the front of my Toyota truck with a deer. I need at least one of my rides put back together. Hell...I'd settle for Pimp My Ride!!! I did like the console and speaker box that was made for the Exploder. It gives me some good ideas on mine. All in all I think OverHaulin is one of the better shows although when Dave the painter started to get testy about the way things were done and they had to pull in another painter I thought "here we go" just the same as all of the other shows on TV nowadays. Seems like every show has to end up with an argument going on between someone.

some of the cars are reaaly nice, the Chevelle was sweet, but I agree with Willys about the way some of the pranks are done, cant get into that. The one with the Chevelle was ok cause he was told it was being used in a Mothers commercial. they only had him pissed for a few hours.

Yup, My store is stuffed with the shi.. stuff. Funny thing is I lose more inventory from the theft of that junk than anything else.

Another interesting point to note, it's parked right next to the Mr. Gasket performance group parts. Misc. chrome goodies, Hurst shifters, Msd and Accell ignition, B&M shift kits, etc. I hardly ever find that stuff missing.

They "overhauled" Ian Zering, or whatever the 90210 guy's name is.

Isn't that guy already rich? What the heck does HE need an "overhauling" for? He can just pay somebody to do that?

I like the concept of the "little guy" getting his car re-done, but make it a guy who can't afford it.
Like me.

I've got a 68 Cuda, and there is noooooooo way I can afford a Hemi for it, and.........

LOL!

Thumbs up

I like the show!

I've only seen a few episodes, but they do great work. Wish they would work over a few of our vehicles....
