I have a customer who bought a 2.99 1st gear M23Z for his vintage-look Super Stock camaro. Its a street car with a pretty rough and tumble 383 and a 3.42(?) rear gear in a 12 bolt. It should be an E-ticket ride for a street car.
He was very unsatisfied with the quality of the Hurst shifter he bought. I pressed him for a Long shifter; and he shows up with a P&G that needs a little elbow grease.
Did anyone out there actually have one? Were there any issues? Do we need to be overly critical about anything or modify anything to make it function the way you'd expect it to.
