P295/70/R15s fit on a 15X8???

the title asks all. I was looking at buying some 15X10s. But i have no clue if the 15X8s would work

Thats good, the rim sizes and tire sizes are very confusing. 15X10s are a lil more pricier. Plan on getting a set later on down the road, dk when but im making plans on what would be the best rim for the width of the tire. Was thinking 15X10s P295/70R15s rear and a set of 15X8s up front with P255/65R15s
but if a set of 15X8s will work in the rear that should be dandy.
