There's an alloy called pacaloy, for what that's worth. Used for valve springs, possible other things but I've only heard of it in conjunction w/valve springs.

I have used their valve springs with good results. They are a Michigan company. Good customer service. The founder was killed, not too long ago, in a plane crash. Glad to see the company has survived.
