As a infrequent MODERATOR here
I moved your question over to the paint area. When I paint one ... and it was in pretty good shape to start up ... ( but the wrong color or just needing a little detail paint ) I just lightly scuff the old finish and paint it with the color of my car. But then I paint ALL my vehicles BLACK ![]() BEFORE photo ... I almost always use a Chevrolet van tilt column and they are usually black from GM.
