paint booth heat

it's cold in michigan. we keep the heat at 52 in the shop. we also have a paint booth that cools down to 50 or lower as soon as the exhaust fan is turned on. we are thinking of installing a house gas furnace to pre-heat the booth and to heat the booth after the exhaust fan is turned off. is this a good idea? the shop is 10,000 sqft, the booth is typical 12x26 ft.
any ideas?

only if you draw air for the burner flame from outside and you have to keep the manifolds clean from dust at all times ( we changed filters once a month and blew out the furnace ) , our old shop had standard force air heaters in it that drew burner air from outside the shop thru a duct , the guy who took over our shop didn't clean the manifolds or filters and decided to reroute the burner air to draw from the inside of the shop , one night one of his guys was wiping down a car for prep ( was using laquer thinner ) and had a Solvent flashback ( our worst nightmare while we were there ) and the shop exploded and burnt to the ground . this is one reason why we moved , the new shop had all the heaters mounted outside the building in a shed and ducted to the building ( drawing & heating cold air from outside ) , and the paintbooth had a electric element heater in it that was used to heat when not painting or during curing .
