paint graphics or not ?

I have a 38 Chev sedan.I want to paint it red pearl. It's such a big car and I'm wondering about doing graphic/ flames or something with it to break it up.I did think about two tone, but na. I did a bit of custom airbrushing in the 70s on my bikes, but paint today is different and guns are also,HVLP.The paint seems to be dangerous to use also and the cost is shocking.
What do you guys think, tribal or some graphic or just one shade? What's hot for a look?
I raise Maine Coon cats, had the 8th best nationally. I could do cats. NAAA

I agree with you that those Chevy's are need of something more than one solid color. The carnut site will give you a lot of examples of what you may like and don't like. Click on Chevrolet and then on your year.

Hello names George owner of GP Graphic Designs! Great ? and one i answer alot love to chat in person but from your input , i can say the best way to approach your car is an overall theme, Meaning dont place something on the car just to have something on it a big mistake i see a good bit of beautiful hot rod owners do , A good Graphic must accent the car and its body lines and work with the cars orginal body design not fight it , meaning over lapping body lines handles etc would love to answer any ? you might have, as for painting graphics, Depends again on your need if its a 100 point show car and you must bury the design in clear maybe go that root, But i have a better alternative Custom vinyl graphics! I Design custom graphics for high end show cars race cars etc, specializing in show cars and race cars has allowed me to push the limits to what one can do and to the myths of its just a sticker!
All work is digitaly printed so we can actually take a photo and turn it into a graphics including text and other great designs heres a few examples! love to answer any ?'s you might have take Care George

paint graphics or not ?

Thanks for the carnut site,Home Brew. House of Color have a program to buy that I can play with. I want to paint the car myself as that's the only way I'll be happy with the pattern,Not that I'm good, just that I'll like what I do, it'll be to my taste. plus I enjoy tinkering. Cisco
