Great all-round compressor choice. the paint kit is a good starter set for small jobs but for bigger jobs I suggest you get this gun. I have done a couple full car jobs with one and am very impressed. Maybe wouldn't hold up for a job shop but for the occasional user hobbyist, it is an super value.

Well the land cruiser doesn't have that much surface area to paint. and will paint the hood, rear door, doors, and front top fenders separate from the body. I got this gun for a "couple of jobs" kinda gun. I will check harbor freight to see if they have that gun you showed. But would like to see how well this one does. Guess i can use this one for primer and the one you showed as paint gun.

what you think about the line set up for my compressor

oh heres a link of some pics of what we have done so far.

As I said above, the compressor looks perfect for a home shop. Anything over 5hp/10cfm is great. That gun you have will do fine, just may be a little small but if you don't mind stopping to refill, go for it!

Willys,

I realize this is an old thread, but I am thinking about buying a gun and am doing my homework.

Anyway, in looking at this thread and the ads for the two guns, it appears that they both have a 20 oz. cup? Am I missing something? LMK

Thanks,

Bob

I have a Harbor Freight HVLP 2qt pressure pot type gun I really like. The free head can aim any direction and I can paint a whole car in one filling. Those gravity guns are a hassle after using the pressure pot 'cause it seems you are always out of paint!
