The purple HVLP gun from Harbor Freight is a decent gun for real cheap.

what about an astro or finex?

what do you'll think about an astro 4014 for about $70 or finex for about the same? Is the astro the same as a husky?

I have one of the purple HF guns. It is the second one that I have had. The first one was a piece of garbage right out of the box. This one sprays great for an inexpensive gun. You do get alot of overpray if the fan is set too wide, unlike the more expenive guns. I used mine today and had problems with the screw on cap. I had a fight just to get it to crew on, and would not seal. Fortunately, I had another cup that I could use, although it is even smaller than the one that came with that gun. That is a very popular gun to many on this board. It would not ba a bad gun, in my opinion, for someone that has only one project to do, or very limited use.
