Paint Help

Well guys: I need to paint my 1953 Chevy pick-up. I have painted years ago but im sure the products are different now. I know some of you guys know what i need for a pretty metallic blue finish.

Everyone has their favorites but you really need to choose this around your supplier. Find out what you have access too and go from there. If you can find a knowledgable jobber then there you go. But, they are hard to find.

Its a good idea to know your paint choice first and go backwards. This way you can choose all the right materials to lay down before it.

The easiest way to paint is stay with a common brand and system. Material technology is very complex nowadays and it would take a chemist to mix and match products/brands. We have a couple of them on this forum by the way

So play it safe, figure out what materials you have access to and then come back and ask opinions. Your best choice is going to be a Urethane.

What kind of paint job is this? Show or driver?
