I recently tried to repair a dent on the quarter panel. I smoothed everything out, primed/painted. Although The problem Im having is you can see that there was a dent and it was repaired (because of the paint) and where the paint edges are. How can I blend the new paint into the old paint so it all looks the same?

You did not indicate what type of vehicle you are working on, or what the paint was that was on the vehicle. You also need to tell us what you used to paint it.

Rattle can paint....

To be honest, I know nothing of paint

I am not a paint expert but, I don't see how you can blend the paint in with rattle can paint. If the veh or paint is relatively new, it is likely BC/CC and the rattle can is single stage. Normally, with bc/cc you basically paint the color only on the spot and clear the whole panel.

Maybe one of the experts here can give you some advise.

Advanced rattle can use: Aerosols you buy at the parts store are pretty limited. Limited to 1K (though there are some 2K aerosols now hitting the market).

Anybody know anything about these 2k aerosols? If they would work?

I was reading where you blend down and back to help fool the eye, then clear panels complete . .
