yes, that will work fine. if you want to save a few dollars try 8560k242. its just a few thousandths less in thickness but half the cost. its just regular acrylic over polycarbonate. polycarbonate is almost the same but a little harder and has a higher melt temp. for your application i dont think it really matters but the polycarbonate will be just slightly easier to machine so its your call, either one will work

Just wondering which of the Krylon paints you tried? I know they make one called Fusion they say is for plastic?

Yeah that's the stuff...Fusion for plastics by Krylon...It's still no match for the cutting board!

Thanks for the information. I really like Krylon paint, but I haven't tried that variety. They make a pretty good sandable primer for small projects and you can get it at Wal-mart.
