Paint question

Howdy,

Newbie here. I have a paint question. Can you buy custom mixed VHT paint? I want to paint the engine the same color as the car, but body paint won't withstand the high head temps. Any ideas?

Thanks,
dino

Body paint WILL withstand the high temps...how hot do you think that the block/heads on a car get? Not as hot as you think. If you go to any Big Event car shows the motor is always painted to match the car..or contrast the car. The HeadERS is what you want to be worried about with the high temps.
I painted an intake with silver high temp paint one time and it NEVER dried. I painted the block/heads with regular rattle can paint and it worked out great. We also painted a friends motor with bc/cc and it is still hanging tight 6 years later.
Later,
WEIMER
