I also read to wash the whole truck with dawn soap and rinse off before painting. Any info would be great. Thanx

Wash truck prior to sanding with dawn or any dish soap as it has grease removers in it, never any that contain a wax in it [turtle wax]
Always use a good wax and grease remover prior to painting, never just dish soap as this will leave a film, Ppg dx 330 works great, depending on your area you may need a waterborne cleaner as Ppg dx 394 be sure to wipe with a clean wet cloth after using 394 also as it may leave a film.
