I am getting my 73f100 ready for paint and im novice at best as far as body work is concerned. I have replaced lower door panels and pulled several small dents. Due to several various posts on the forums about a better gun being a definite plus to someone in my situation, specifically the iwata due to lower pressure for less fog and overspray, i found a good deal on a lph400lvx extreme, it comes with 1.3tip. I have read this gun is particularly helpful with metallics, the 73 is my practice before my pride and joy, my 66mustang(my first car, smoky wore out 200straight six....those were the days) i want to shoot a deep high metallic blue for it, for the truck however i have been looking heavily at eastwoods hot rod black, i really like the looks of this paint, the truck is a short bed and is getting a teardrop scoop i hope next week, how forgiving is this paint? i know how quickly the flat color of primer will show all your flaws and surface imperfections will this be as bad? i hope to get rid of them but im quite certain it wont be perfect, and also will the lvx cap shoot that as well or is it more for metallics and pearls with a different cap for such a flat tone paint, lots of questions, sorry but most the retailers quote me labels and give me that hrmmmm
