Must be a great shop when you have to resort to spamming up a forum to drum up business, but offer no advice to help this guy with his question.

My guess also is probably too heavy with the 2.0 tip. if your positive they weren't left in the prep stage. Not one I've really run into, don't think its too common with modern urethanes.

One of the causes of checking-crows feet is applying too much material, too little flash time between coats, or shop temps-improper reducer. Although I've hammered on urethane clear pretty good before without a lot of flash time and have got some pretty big hangers on occasion, and have gotten solvent pop, but haven't ever gotten crows feet, even with cheaper clears. Never tried shooting it with a 2.0 tip though.

Why dont you try working with a senior professional painter as an assistant or else you can try out studying in a painting school, there you will get an idea about the technics of painting.

I can almost guarantee the crows feet were in the old finish and you just didn't notice them. You will not get crows feet 3 days after you painted the car. EVEN using a 2.0 tip. Solvent pop, yeah, but not crows feet.
