Painting Drive Shaft

I'm getting my engine put in this week and the transmissions being painted, any problems with painting the Drive Shaft?

No....Paint it!!

Hang it up via a wire or whatever, tape off any exposed yoke surfaces that go into the transmission and paint away (why not paint it like a barber pole :D ).

sure paint it...
i painted mine white... let it dry.. then taped it in a spiral like a barber pole then sprayed it red... its just something a little different...

I just finished painting it today, cast aluminum. Barber pole...thats cool...I'll put some pictures up later. :D

My drive shaft came out ok. I Degreased it and sanded it with 60 grit. wiped it down with Denatured Alcohol.Painted it with Cast colored paint....looks cool... :welcome:

Oh dam - just another boring driveshaft (and I should talk - mine - powder coated Denny's Driveshaft bleeeh black)

So we can see it when it comes out of the car...Real PITA to run over some guys driveshaft while on the track...

WOOF! Yeah that makes sense; so realtree camo is out? Perhaps DIRT sanctioning should look into barber pole painting for driveshafts?
