painting the frame on a 1949 chevy pickup
i had my frame sandblasted on my 1949 chevy pickup. what the best thing to paint it with or do i need to prime it first. what should i do

When I did my '53 I used POR-15. Since you had it sand blasted you'll need to treat it first with POR's Metal Prep (just pour it in a spray bottle and spritz it on). Then you can either spray, brush, or roll POR-15 on. Its a very hard finish that won't allow the surface to rust again.
