Post painting interior

hello again, im converting the interior of my gmc sprint from blue to black. there are some parts that are going end up being left blue or will be painted. How well do those vinyl spray paint cans work? Do they chip off or look good? thanks

If you use a good quality materials like Molecubond http://www.bryndana.com/ it is a permanent change of color on any Vinyl, Leather, ABS Plastic, PVC, Polycarbonate, Polypropylene, Polyurethane, Arcrylic, Lexan, Fiberglass, and Recycled Plastics, unless of course it gets a deep scratch. In that case the base color of the plastic will show through just like any metal part that gets a deep scratch.

I did a set of Pontiac buckets from gold to light blue. It covered very well and not only couldn't you tell they had been re-colored, I drove the car for a couple years and never noticed a crack or any problems at all.

I would stay away from the el-cheapo stuff at Kmart though.

I used some el cheap Walmart stuff on a set of dining room chair cushions in College. It lasted for 3 years without coming off untill I got rid of the set.

Cool

Hello there camino-man! I too jhave used the paint/die for changing the color of and interior. White to Black., Green to Baby Blue, Green to Black. The expensive stuff works great. I never tried Walmart's stuff, it may be fine too. The trick is to CLEAN every inch of the area to be color changed. Take your time and clean, Clean, CLEAN! A little goes a long way to cover your interior pieces, don't get to agressive or you'll get runs. You take your time and you will be very safisfied with the end result.
