Actually, I followed the instructions to a T. I used DOM16 which is supposed to be equal to POR15. After the coating failed, my complaint to a company official netted me a response that he felt this product was misrepresented by its label which claimed the product could be used on clean, bare metal and previously painted surfaces. He admitted that this product was developed specifically for use on rusty or sandblasted surfaces.
