Painting a Powdercoated intake?
whats up guys im currently building a 355 SBC im painting the oil pan, block and heads gloss black, and going with a set of polished aluminum valve covers and polished aluminum breather, but my question is i have a Victor Jr. intake im gonna use on this engine, its an old intake but it is in excellent condition, but someone has had it powdercoated my guess would be at least 5 years ago and it looks dingy and tired, i was wondering if i could just paint over it with the same paint im painting the engine block with? the paint is 500 degree dupli color gloss black wih ceramic, if i can paint over it what prep work would have to be done to the powder coat finish if any? thanks guys
