Smile painting in sections

Can you paint a vehicle in sections at a time, using a solid color?

If no graphics are involved and it is a solid color change from the previous, yes- I have done it many times. When painting a metallic or pearl it flows a little better it seems when it is together. Solid color shouldn't be a problem as long as the mix, shop conditions and pressure to the gun is the same!

I painted my pickup separately with metalic paint. Matched up pretty well, but some purists would say it doesn't.

Found it easier to paint it this way.

As it was said it depends on the temp, humidity, air pressure, and paint mix of the different spray times, you would be better off to do it at least on the same day with the same paint mixture...
