painting three coat in parts?

hi,
is it possible to paint a car in parts with a three coat paint?I want to paint my car base blk with white pearl and since I already removed all panels for bodywork it would be easier to paint in parts, but I am curious about different colour appearance. Please write your experiences.
thankx

Every car I take apart is painted that way, of course I do it every day. Sometimes the parts are painted days or even weeks apart.

Pay attention to the air pressure, temperature, mixing procedure
humidity.and handling of the paint gun. Keep track of how many coats you apply. HTH

Good Luck
Troy

Since I will paint the parts in about 3 following days, the humity and temperature diferences shouldn´t be dramatic.
Thank you

I also paint on a daily basis and sometimes paint 3 stage jobs in pieces. It can be done but as mentioned in the previous posts pay attention to air pressure and number of coats, etc. Write down the info so you don't forget. With the combination you are going to paint it shouldn't be that much of a problem. If it were a candy paint job I would recommend you do it all at once if it were at all possible.
