painting transmission

Hi guys,

I've been contemplating painting the new manual shift transmission to somewhat match my engine. The question is has anyone done this in the past w/satisfaction ? I would not want to paint the bolts & washers, but also a little concerned over removing the hardware just to paint the entire unit. I'm guessing it would be difficult @ best to mask off all the hardware. I guess I was looking for options or suggestions if anyone has had any luck in doing this previously.

Unless your making a show car with mirrors under it I wouldn't worry about nuts and bolts. B&M paints everything.
